Les Brevieres boasts direct access to the best skiing in both Val d’Isère and Tignes
Located in the Tarentaise valley, at the foot of the Espace Killy ski area, Les Brevieres is linked to both Val d’Isere and Tignes. Espace Killy is one of the largest ski areas in the world with 330 kilometres of pistes, 96 ski lifts, 9 slalom stadiums, 2 mogul stadiums, 2 snow parks and 2 half pipes.
Les Brevieres dates back to the 13th century and it is the prettiest and most traditional of the villages that surround Espace Killy. At an altitude of 1560 and well integrated into the area by a quick and efficient lift, the resort is a hidden gem that has maintaining a quiet rustic charm.
The resort has all the facilities needed to enjoy a holiday there including several bars and restaurants, a supermarket, an ESF ski school and ski shops.
The resort is very much both a winter and summer resort. In winter, the north- facing tree-lined runs leading into the village are great for white out days and the resort is high enough to have excellent snow coverage. Also in winter, there are various activities such as an ice driving circuit, dog sledding, hang gliding and snow shoe walking.
In summer, there is still a lot to do, with mountain biking and hiking trails, tennis courts, water sports and of course summer skiing on the Grand Mottes Glacier. There is a challenging 18- hole golf course at Tignes Le Lac as well as a 9-hole pitch and putt, and a driving range.
Geneva and Lyon airports are 3 hours away, Grenoble 2½ hours and Chambery 2 hours. The nearest train station is Bourg Saint Maurice, 20 minutes away.
